Happy Thanksgiving - Let’s Talk Turkey

heidiandjohncarvingturkey92.jpg After careful contemplation, it was decided not to title this thread - “Turkey carves Turkey”.  For those who don’t know this is Supervisor Stirrup and his wife carving the turkey.  The thread title - ‘Let’s Talk Turkey’ is my second choice but I thought it more appropriate.

First of all, I’m thankful for being a citizen of this great country. Thankful that other like minded individuals are out there and are willing to participate in the democratic process. Thankful for the support from family and friends. Thankful for all the visitors that continue to come to the site even after the election.

And, after checking the websites traffic statistics it strikes me that I have not explained the purpose of the GoodbyeStirrup.com/GoodbyeStewart.com website. So, for our visitors from other parts of the country and around the world - This blog covers two members of the Board of Supervisors from Prince William County, Virginia in the USA;  they are Corey Stewart (Chairman-at-Large) and John Stirrup (Gainesville Magisterial District). The practice of blogging is not a new one in local county politics and it appears, that on some level the web & blogs are having some affect on politicians both conceptually and in their adoption of policy. So, in keeping with the Thanksgiving Day Fowl Spirit, I figure - What’s Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander.
