Happy Thanksgiving - Let’s Talk Turkey

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007
heidiandjohncarvingturkey92.jpg After careful contemplation, it was decided not to title this thread - “Turkey carves Turkey”.  For those who don’t know this is Supervisor Stirrup and his wife carving the turkey.  The thread title - ‘Let’s Talk Turkey’ is my second choice but I thought it more appropriate.

First of all, I’m thankful for being a citizen of this great country. Thankful that other like minded individuals are out there and are willing to participate in the democratic process. Thankful for the support from family and friends. Thankful for all the visitors that continue to come to the site even after the election.

Can someone let Stirrup know his precincts changed back in 2005?

Thursday, November 15th, 2007
Gainesville District Precinct Map It appears either Gainesville Supervisor Stirrup does not know his own precincts or his camera wielding, website administering assistant does not.  Check his homepage at http://www.gainesvillesupervisor.com/, and this is what you’ll find -

Welcome to the Gainesville District!

The Gainesville Magisterial District is one of seven districts that comprise the political subdivision of Prince William County.  The Gainesville District is located in the northwestern end of the county and is made up of nine precincts:
Bull Run, Catharpin, Evergreen, Haymarket, Mullen, Plantation, Sinclair, Stonewall and Westgate.

Okay, hold-up a second here.  What happened to the Glenkirk precinct?  And what is Plantation?

Stirrup proclaims membership to ‘Help Save’ Movement

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Stirrup proclaims membership to ‘Help Save’ Movement.  Interested in knowing the leadership of the Help Save Manassas Group?  Well, here you go… And my only question is how, how could anyone follow this logic but especially how could our Gainesville District Supervisor proclaim membership or an alliance to this?

The countdown is on, 3 years 362 days…

The countdown is on, 3 years 362 days until we can remove the dastardly duo of Stewart/Stirrup from power.  Let me clarify the term, “we” by “we”, I mean the voters of Prince William County.  For those who need clarification, or are clamoring for a ‘legal disclaimer’ here you go -

Why must everything reach a crisis point?

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

9500Liberty posts a portion of the debate between candidates Stirrup & Riley.  Corey Riley makes an excellent point, why must everything reach a crisis point?  There’s been the powerline crisis, the illegal immigration crisis, the crisis to open Healthcote Boulevard etc… Yes, perhaps if additional time and consideration were given then we wouldn’t constantly be in a state of crisis.

According to the DC Examiner,
Stewart proposed slashing funds for nonprofit of Stirrup’s rival

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Interesting article entitled, ”Stewart proposed slashing funds for nonprofit of Stirrup’s rival” tells how Chairman Stewart proposes to use the funding from the Greater Prince William Community Health Center to fund the ‘crackdown on illegal immigration’.  The executive director and a founder of the Woodbridge nonprofit health clinic is non-other than John Stirrup’s opponent in the race for Gainesville District Supervisor - Corey Riley.
